Driving Talent Volunteering with Help The Homeless Leicester

Driving Talent is proud to have volunteered at one of Help The Homeless Leicester’s market feeds which take place every Wednesday at Leicester Market.

Homelessness is at an all-time high in the UK, with at least 320,000 homeless people living in Britain. This amounts to a year-on-year increase of 13,000 (4%), estimates suggest that nationally one in every 200 people are homeless. These figures are also based on rough sleepers and those who live in temporary accommodation; which doesn’t account for “hidden” homelessness, such as sofa-surfers, and others living in sheds or cars, for example.

Help The Homeless Donations

Help the Homeless Leicester’s vision is to “Enrich, Encourage and Empower” and this is at the heart of everything they do. Their aim is to also help achieve complete eradication of homelessness and rough sleeping within Leicester city. Local support from individuals and organisations is imperative in accomplishing their goal.

Everyone at Driving Talent is overwhelmed with the huge amount of support we have received; thank you to all of our customers, suppliers and friends that donated an array of food, clothes and money.
